Are your plugins built in-house and are they top quality?

We don’t farm out our code development. All of our plugins are developed in-house by our team of expert professional developers. We’ve been developing code for WordPress for almost 10 years, and we’ve been developing code for WooCommerce since it was first released in 2011. We know both platforms inside and out, and our code work demonstrates our expertise.

Can you do custom programming for WooCommerce and/or WordPress?

Why aren’t your plugins for sale at WooThemes?

There are many, many developers selling their plugins via WooThemes. In fact, the vast majority of WooCommerce plugins for sale at WooThemes are created by independent developers – just like us. An important note to keep in mind is that all third-party developers selling plugins at WooThemes are expected to handle support for their plugins via the support channels at WooThemes. So in other words, it’s not WooThemes staff providing you with support, it’s the independent developer who actually wrote the plugin code. With that information in mind:

We were invited to sell our plugins at WooThemes however we declined for several reasons:

• By selling direct we can provide a much higher level of service and support than the WooThemes channels allow. When you buy directly from us you get free support any time you need it – fast – via phone or email, your choice.
• WooThemes takes a 50% cut of all third-party plugin sales. We think that’s way too much considering that we do all the work and handle all the support.
• We like to be paid right away when someone purchases our plugins. If we sold our plugins at WooThemes we’d have to wait 30 to 45 days to get paid.

Simple as that really. And, support is the key issue overall. Nobody provides better support than we do.. That’s a fact.

Why don’t you call yourselves ninjas like WooThemes?

Because we’re professional code developers – not ninjas. We’ve been writing code since the days of the Apple II computer. No, really, we have. Aside from that fact, most of us here at IgniteWoo are very experienced practitioners of Tae Kwon Do, Aikido, and Hapkido. We have an extremely high respect for the martial arts, and as such we simply cannot bring ourselves to use the word “ninja” totally out of legitimate context. Calling ourselves ninjas would be like you walking around expecting people to address you as “Doctor” when in reality you’re not a doctor. Hopefully you get the point.
